The Wicked

The wicked came without invitation,
ending my good life's celebration.
Denying truth to rule my days,
they are the cause of all my strays.

The wicked fashioned deformity,
feeding suffering endlessly.
Took my true sense of self away,
overpowering me so much sway.

They forced themselves as ruling king,
controlling what my heart would bring.
Shaping my identity their ways,
turning once vibrant colours grey.

The wicked always whisper lies,
orchestrating my truth's demise.
Bringing my life endlessly misery,
my caring self suffering so cruelly.

Slowly destroying heart, mind, and body,
turning my life into a constant worry.
Lies believed offend myself within,
guiding thoughts that cannot win.

Lies in power stand behind my plight,
self hate born out of my inner night.
Yet when truthful love shines through,
much deeper self give lies their due.

Erasing falsehood from my mind and heart,
so from these painful ways i may depart.
For no one can take my good from me,
truly daring honest and loving to be.
