THIS is Christ, THIS is gospel


St. Luke 4:18-19 says the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me tp preach the gospel to the poor, He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of the sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

The apostle Paul said for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation for every one that believeth, to the Jew first and to the Greek ( Romans1:16).

We are living in a world where people are distorting the truth of the gospel. Furthermore, many of these people are claiming to be Christian. I feel that you cannot be a Christian and get some of the bible right but the message of the gospel and Jesus Christ wrong. The Apostle said in Galatians 1:8 but though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you let him be accursed.

The gospel gives an account of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is witnessed in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John of the New Testament in which there are 27 books in the Holy Bible. The Bible cannot exist without Jesus Christ because Jesus is the Bible. He was there before the beginning and He wrote the beginning( in the beginning was the Word).

Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit born to a virgin name Mary, anointed at youth by the Spirit of God to preach good tidings to the people.

Throughout the course of time, there were many movies made about Jesus, but if we are honest with ourselves, no man is worthy to make a movie about Christ or even write about Him.

Some men have turned the gospel into a motivational speech, instead of basing it on Christ, they are basing it on man. The doctrines of the world are nothing more than fairytales, created to deter you from the true and living gospel. Gods` word is more alive than we are because His word is Spirit and His word is life.

Jesus was a sinless man, born into a sinful world, who knew no sin but became sin. The Lord is the Lamb of God because He was harmless. Jesus took our place on the cross because it was not sufficient that a sinner died for sin. God wanted a spotless sacrifice, a perfect one in which He could say I`m well pleased.

Since Jesus is life it was not possible that death could contain Him. He first descended then ascended with power over hell and death. Jesus is the resurrection and the life, he that believeth in Him though he were dead, he shall live.

Jesus said in John 10:7-9 verily, verily I say unto you I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

When John the Baptist sent two of his disciples to ask Jesus if He was the one that should come, Jesus told them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to the them. THIS is Christ, THIS is gospel. Amen.
