Measuring Contentment in the Heavenly Highrise

There is a good measure for contentment, that quality that is part of the prosperity promised to the lovers of Jerusalem. It is being able to say from the heart that: if this life I am currently living was all there would ever be, could I say as an individual that it would still be ok. In fact for the truly contented it would be more than ok, because there is and would be enough of heaven streaming into this present life to make it gladly liveable. Though this is not yet heaven but a mere fortaste of heaven, to be able to think that way would seem to be an excellent foundation for the changes that nevertheless people of faith know are coming, to make what has begun to be heavenly already into the true and ultimate Heaven itself. Not making our beds in the bedrock, but building ourselves up in the most holy faith, praying in the Spirit as we rise higher and higher in spiritual stature like a heavenly highrise, upon which no one, including ourselves, has the authority to place a roof or cap but Jesus Christ Himself, Who is also its one and only foundation!
