God and Man

God yet reaches down to pick man up and man has to reach up and meet God in the air. In the life we live in today can be found many flaws in the life of man just as in the days prior when our fathers and fore-fathers disobeyed the Word of God. It’s time man stop running. Jesus came to bring restoration to man’s relationship with our heavenly Father, God. Man was in the earth first spiritual then flesh. Man is dominated by the appetites of the fleshly human nature that is deprived of the Spirit of God. God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and Truth. Man runs away from God when God have what is needed for them to survive both spiritually and naturally. We must understand ourselves and we have a need to be understood.

When man obeys God’s Word we come to understand our Creator and appreciate the redemption he has given us. We come to realize that we need help. If God does not help us there is no restoration for man in this life. We are responsible for our own actions. We respect our fellow man, love and tolerate each other and through self-inventory of our own salvation we come to love ourselves. We are to take our salvation serious and face the fact that we aren’t perfect. Giving up or giving in to the pressures of life keeps us bound. If we fall down then we have strength to get up.

Deliverance is a process and our steps are ordered by the Lord. We take one step at a time and refuse to stay in the muck and mire brought our way. To stay with God we must understand the process. No child walks upright before their time. They grow and grow as they ages and learn how to walk and stand. So it is in the Spirit, a new convert continue to grow as they learn of God and willingly obey His Word. Sometime we do not understand that we are to endure this Christian walk all the way to the end. We are saved and we sanctify ourselves every day. Man however is human and is never satisfied. He has a problem because they try to please man. We are to be convinced within ourselves that the Word of God that we confess is true. All of our bad habits must be confessed and we need to realize and know our own deficiencies. Once we know what our problems are we deal with them accordingly.

Repentance is to the Christian as food is to the body. Repentance brings us to the heart of God and God’s Spirit keeps the flesh under subjection to the perfection and providence of God. Repentance brings us face to face with God. Repentance keeps us righteous before God and not in ourselves; where pride takes a grip on us. God that made the world and all things therein; seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands. We were created to the praise of God’s glory and we should seek the Lord, if haply we might feel after Him and find Him, though he be not far from every one of us; for in Him we live, and move, and have our being. God is our Shepherd and if we obey and serve Him, we will spend our days in prosperity and our years in the pleasure of faith and trust throughout our lives.

We miss God because we do not really get to know all that He is. Genesis 28:16 surely the Lord was in this place and I knew it not. In the house of righteousness is much treasure. God cannot be contained in the mind of man, the heaven and the heaven of heaven cannot contain Him. So how can we in our finite mind contain God therein? We cannot flee from the presence of God. Jeremiah 23:23 am I a God at hand said the Lord and not a God afar off? Can any hide themselves in secret places that I shall not see him saith the Lord?

Mankind is to first seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness that is revealed from faith to faith. Many have gone in their own righteousness. Proverbs 15:6 in the house of the righteous is much treasure. If we obey and serve God our days will be prosperous, but then that same prosperity can cause us to lose out with God. That same prosperity can cause man to be lifted up in pride. Wisdom and knowledge is needed to discern the difference.
