2014 IS HERE,
LONG AWAITED; JITTERY AND NERVOUS
MANY THOUGHT IT’D NEVER COME
MANY THOUGHT THEÝ’D NEVER MAKE IT
MANY DID NOT
MANY THOUGHT IN ABSTRACT, TRYING TO SEE INTO
THE CORE OF THE COMING YEAR
ALAS ALL THAT CAME WAS FUZZ AND FIREWORKS
THE SKIES WERE FILLED MINUTES BEFORE THE HOUR
THICK SMOKE, LOUD NOISE AND EXPLODING COLOURS
NONE COULD SEE WHAT THE COMING YEAR WOULD HOLD
2013 WAS EVENTFUL AND NERV RECKING FOR MANY
DISASTERS THERE WERE FOR LANDS AND PEOPLES,
HEARTS HOPE: MAY THERE NEVER BE A REPEAT OF SUCH.
