Christmas morning as I awoke I heard the word "Adon" spoke softly into my ear. What a strange thing to hear! Why, I wondered do words seem to come from nowhere? I'm sharply keen that whispers turn our focus to thoughts that set our day on some specific way. So to my computer I rushed and set to find the meaning of the word I heard, so hushed. Today is Christmas and it should be that "Adon" would be a word for me, a whisper from the Lord; for "Lord" is indeed the meaning of the word. Today I shall meditate, and mutter about The Lord, giving to Him praise, from my heart raised, that He was willing to come to Earth, by means of mankind's natural birth and live here with us, identifying Himself with us, to teach us of His Love and Name, and us to reclaim by means of His great sacrifice, to give to us eternal life. He made Himself poor, for awhile, to make us rich with Him forever. Thank You, Adoni! Ramona: 12/25/2013

I will and have adjusted the word, for the sake of "technicalities." But in no way have I given praise or reference to any evil spirit.

If you really read the poem, you could never come to any such conclusion.

Let God be your judge for that accusation.

Sorry Ramona, 'Adonis' is not found anywhere in scripture. Nowhere is it spoken. It simply is not a biblical word. It is neither Hebrew or Aramaic, nor does it in any language mean 'Lord'. It is only as I have already stated,- the Greek name of a pagan god, Adonis, which is not just a 'mythological characterization', but a very real 'demonic entity' as are all pagan gods. I strongly suspect that in reality the 'Adonis' spirit, as spoken to you, is somehow rooted in, and directly tied to the spirit of feminism which has invaded the end-time church of apostasy,- and I would think that any further testing of such a spirit would not be necessary. Now you can go on believing that Ruach HaKo'desh, or some angel of Adonai El Elyon whispered 'Adonis' in your ear to provoke adoration for the 'Godhead', but it simply isn't true. To utter the name of a demon for the name of the Lord would be blasphemy, which is exactly what only a deceiving spirit would do..... My suggestion to you is to denounce both the name and the experience as deception... 'Adonis' is demonic.

Thanks Ben. I see where you are coming from and I thought about that issue. However, as I thought upon it I realized that there is no god of the Greeks that is not The God.

There is no Lord but the Lord God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Those "mythological characterizations" are not previous to God. They were attempts to explain something, other than God Himself, as a god for them to worship rather than the true God. A lot like we do today also.

It is a thought that seeks to steal the identity of God, to replace Him, as much of our current theology of today seeks to minimize Him and reduce His power.

There is only ONE Lord and Adonis means "LORD" and then is the fact that the Scriptures call the Godhead, "Adoni," "Lord," same word.

If I had misplaced the adoration, and I haven't, it belongs to Jesus, I would remove the article. I do know that the Name LORD belongs only to the Lord.

There are many Ramona's, but I am the only one of me.

I appreciate the conversation and do not at all mind if others chime in; at this point I am unconvinced that I have misused the terminology, but I try to never close my mind in totality when looking for truths.

Blessings, from the only Me there is.

'ADONAI' is the Hebrew word for 'Lord'... 'Adonis' is the name of a 'pagan Greek god'. - - - hmmmm
