Pessimism abounds.....and an attitude sore

You can offer NO cheer.....and evoke NOT a smile;
Each step THEY will take is a long weary mile;
You pay them a compliment....YOU get a snarl
From the person who's MAD at the WORLD!

You CAN'T write them off....they're part of the Plan....
These folks who are MAD at the WORLD!
Somewhwere....SOMEONE loves them....each woman, each man
Although they are MAD at the WORLD!

Don't give up on hoping for a smile or a hug.....
(There MUST be a reason they're blue.)
Try to pinpoint the problem (for maybe it's YOU)
That's making them MAD at the WORLD!
