THE PILGRIMAGE
Life is a journey,sometimes we say its short sometimes its said to be too long.One thing we must know is that life never ends,the end of one isthe entrance into another.So,if you're reading this you must know that you're an eternal being and you'll live through eternity.No wonder Solomon tried to tell us that better than the living and the dead are those who were never born.Hoever, the focus today is about understanding the journey we are in.Its a Pilgrimage.In Genesis 11,it came to pass that the people of God were migrating from the East and suddenly they found a plain decided to settle there.Many times when God puts us on a path, we tend to folow for a while but there is a tendency for us to find a suitable place where we think God is leading us to and decide to stop.Remember that God wanted them to spread out and dominate, but they chose to concentrate themselves in a place.

The charge today is to realise that we are on a Pilgrims journey and we are not to stop until God says so.Genesis 11:2 says 'And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there'. It must have looked like the destination, but God had better plans in mind for them.When you abide in a place where God has not sent you, you run at a risk of great losses in this Life and that which is to come.Many times when the children of Israel stopped on their way to Canaan, they ended up mingling with those in their surroundings and they incurred God's wrath.Let us be likfe Father Abraham, he stopped only when God asked him to and he built altars around them.Your Best Days Ahead.Don't build on the land he didn't call you to possess.Remember God only rewards what he instructed you to take responsibility for.

CENTRAL TRUTH:Don't settle in a land that has not been allotted to you.Watch where you're labouring.Is it the Right place? is it a plain you found for yourself?

FOCUS SCRIPTURE:GENESIS 11:2

PRAYER:
LORD, LEAD ME IN THE WAY THAT I SHOULD GO. I CANNOT OF MYSELF TELL WHAT A DAY MAY BRING.I KNOW YOU'RE BRINGING ME INTO A LARGE PLACE. RELOCATE ME TO WHERE I OUGHT TO BE IN JESUS NAME.
