"Why are the nations in an uproar, And the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand, And the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Annointed: Let us tear their fetters apart, and cast away their cords from us!" (Psalm 2:1-3) "The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made; In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught." (Psalm 9:15)

These two passages from Psalms are fitting descriptions of what much of the world is experiencing because mankind has tried to run the world without God. God has given people free will to run the world, but it has revealed just how much the world needs him. No matter what happens, no matter how arrogant some of our leaders become, and no matter how much some people are trying to destroy Christianity and truth, God is still in control. God watches over it all from his throne in heaven and nothing is catching him by surprise. There is coming a time in the near future when he will return. When he does he will hold all individuals accountable. He will also set up his own Kingdom. In the meantime what is God's attitude toward what mankind is doing on the earth?

He is laughing and scoffing. (Psalm 2:4)

"Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged before you. Put them in fear, O Lord; let the nations know that they are but men." (Psalm 9:19-20)

"The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven; his eyes behold, his eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence his soul hates." (Psalm 11:4-5)

"The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. The Lord looks from heaven; he sees all the sons of men; from his dwelling place he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth." (Psalm 33:10-14)

God "subdues peoples under us, and nations under our feet...God reigns over the nations, God sits on his holy throne." (Psalm 47:3 and 8)

God sits "far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come." (Ephesians 1:21)

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10-11)

"For by him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created by him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together." (Colossians 1:16-17)

"And there is no creature hidden from his sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of him with whom we have to do." (Hebrews 4:13)

"But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats." (Matthew 25:31-32)

There you have it! GOD WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY IN ALL THINGS!
