Continuing from the article Forever In His Arms let’s finish the last segment of Nikki’s Tail-Waggin’ Lessons. If you missed the first part of this story, Nikki was a special teacher with a wet nose and a wiggly tail-end that God used to help me understand His life lessons. Now to the conclusion of the story…

“All I can say, Nikki, is that you came into my life for just a brief time, but you will be with my heart for the rest of my days. I know now that you were on assignment from God to help me in my life. Your assignment was now finished, and God took you home because your new assignment was to be with Him. Thank you, Nikki, for demonstrating God’s love for me in such a real way that I will never forget the lessons. You are God’s Golden Girl from now through all eternity. You stole my heart on that cold December morning, and my love for you will stay in my heart forever. I know you are being held in the loving arms of my Heavenly Father, and I can’t wait to be with you again when it is my turn to also be held in His arms, with you by my side.” Remember that God’s Word says, “God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need Him.”

Nikki was God’s Golden Girl, and she had such an impact on my life that I want to share this prayer with you that I had written for her. God allowed me to make a soul connection with this special friend and teacher.

You Are My Heart…
Father God, protect my Golden Girl in your loving embrace. Nikki, you are my heart now and forevermore. I knew you in my heart…It was love at first sight. With my heart I saw into your soul; the true beauty of you. God used you as the physical evidence of His unconditional love. From my heart to yours, you have been my constant companion and comfort. You filled my days with fun, that tail in constant motion, And those soulful eyes. Now, my dear friend, find rest under the shade of your favorite tree. Enjoy your eternity, my beloved, with ones that have gone before you. God will hold you in His loving arms, until I once again can hold you in mine. I thank you, God, for sending Your “Golden Girl.” Nikki, you were to be by my side for many years, but now you will live in my heart forever. I proclaim my love for you, Nikki, before all those in heaven and on earth. May your spirit continue to shine down from Heaven above to strengthen my soul. You are my heart forevermore, and forevermore it will be.

If you have suffered a loss, now is the time to open your heart to God’s comfort and love. Look deep into your heart and share with someone or write it out your deepest emotion for what you have lost. God will comfort you in the sharing. It will hurt for a time, but turn the loss over to God and He will hold them in His loving embrace until you, too, can join them. Take heart, dear friends, and be comforted in whatever your loss may be.
