If we are going to become what God has created us to be we must not stay stagnant in our thinking or in our walk of faith. Believers should always strive within the strength that God has provided to us to achieve all that He wants us to even in the difficult times. Life as a believer can bring about many challenges around every corner. These challenges are allowed and are there to aid us in becoming mature Christians, sound in the faith of what we claim to believe. There are going to be difficulties to face in this life.
When we first come to Christ sadly we may come into the fold thinking all is going to be great from here on out. However, we read throughout the word of God about people who were victorious in their walk with God at one time or another that faced difficult circumstances. So when your trial comes embrace the change and difficulty as it comes and pray for discernment and clarity on the lesson that is being taught. Prepare your heart because God will answer in His timing. God's word tells us in Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."KJV
I am in a difficult season right now of life and have been since 2009. First the lost of wordly possessions, the lost of a child to the world, and the hardest and most recent blow from the lost of a child on this side of eternity. Sometimes I feel low and very saddened about all that has happened and continues to happen. I continue to cry out to God, who always let's me know in little signs He sends me that His grace is sufficient. I do know that God has work for me to do and He knows what is best for me. He loves me and is there for me during this time of my life. He loves all of us and knows what we are going through. He is using these experiences to pull out something in us that was there all along, the part that He can use to bring Himself glory while bringing us victory. We must continue to be strong and hold on for life's unpredictable ride.
If you have surrendered your life to Christ and are experiencing some difficult circumstances right now, whether it be sickness, job loss, or even death of someone close to you, take comfort in that scripture (Romans 8:28). It will give you hope.
If you have not taken the steps of asking God to forgive your sins and to confess Christ as your Savior, then I would encourage you to do so. It will not be easy and all troubles will not just simply go away but your burden will be lighter with God on your side to help carry the load. Your burden takes on a new meaning, they are then there to assist you to draw closer to God.
