COMB MY HEART OH LORD

Comb my heart oh Lord!
Sift me of all unrighteousness
Search me through and through
Sift me of my hatred and doubt
Shake away my greed and maliciousness
Wipe away the stain of shame
Squeeze away my sins

Comb my heart oh Lord!
Unbraid my knotted soul
Clip away my clumps of indignation
Scrape away my selfish indulgence
Wash clean my adulterous heart
Cleanse me from the inside out

Comb my heart oh Lord!
Search my inmost parts
Make straight my foggy path
Kindle your light within me
Elevate me to my purpose
Encourage me to your will

Comb my heart oh Lord!
Make clean this stained soul
Strengthen this wavering temple

Comb my heart oh Lord!
For only you can find me there
Only you can make it clean
Only you can make your ways mine
Only you Lord, Only You!
