I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH.
SCarcity is something we are all used to,infact back in secondary school days we were taught in Economics about scarcity and we've been enrolled into the school of thought that we can never have enough to go round except by competition and 'ceteris paribus'.We must realise that God's ways are not our ways neither are His thoughts similar to ours;they are miles apart just as distant as the Heaven is to the earth.We play by different set of rules,what is obtainable here does not find expression in Heaven.Have you ever wondered why God calls Himself the 'I AM'?It is simply because he wants us to know that in Him alone do we have our suffieciency.So when you need Salvation,he says I AM(meaning i am able to save you),when you say my grades are down,he says I AM(meaning i will give you knowledge and understanding).When God approached ABraham in Genesis 15 he said I Am thy shield and thy Exceeding Great reward.God did not say i will give you Children,houses,fame he said I AM your reward,your shield.Have you ever realised that actually the Bible did not say we are heirs of the things of GOd? Rather the scripture says that we are HEIRS OF GOD.Inotherwords we have Inherited God HImself.ISn't that awesome? The story of that man at the pool of bethesda comes to mind,he had been long in that situation,so we could understand his frustration.Jesus came to Him asking if he wanted to be healed,his answer was not what Jesus expected.He was seeking the Miraculous when the One who makes Miracles happen was before Him.Jesus was invariably saying I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH.He was awaiting an angel when the creator of Heaven and earth was before him.Peradventure you're presently seeking for certain things to take shape in your life,probably a job,a relationship,finance,Direction.Know this:The Lord is your Shepherd.He is saying to you I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH.THat man received the mercy of God and was made whole.Don't wait for favorable situations to occur in your life before you begin to take steps.Seek for Him,i can imagine JEsus saying'is it not just for all these things? Don't worry I AM SUFFICIENT FOR YOU.
The Charge for us today is to realise that we derive all our sufficiency from Jesus and him alone.There is no scarcity with God.Rather Sufficiency and abundance.He is able to meet your needs out of His Riches in Glory In Christ.Lets not look around but look above.He is saying to us today 'I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH'
central Truth:With God all things are possible.Don't seek for wonders when he who is called Wonderful is knocking on the door of your heart.God is ABLE.
FOCUS SCRIPTURE:John 5:1-9
PRAYER
Lord,thou alone are my sufficieny.In you i have all my needs met.I have all sufficiency and not scarcity.Help me to keep my focus on you all the time.
