Our lives are but a canvas
Gently painted by His hand
Each tone each secret brush stroke
Gliding perfectly at His command
Sometimes blues prevail
Other times pinks of joy
Sunsets bronzen orange
Or sunrise yellow coy
Sometimes with surroundings turbulent
Blackness or billowing white
But often a fragrant meadow
Flourishing with pure delight
He reveals our life painting
A little at a time
Blotting out all of our weaknesses
Whilst strengthening sublime
Splashes of love or swift strokes of pain
One thing is for certain
We are never the same in His hands
When the finished work is signed with His pen
