ASSURANCE by Ramona Cook

The Lord is Lord of the rainy day, as well as the one in which the sun shines brightly.

The Lord is still Lord when things are seemingly wrong, as well as when they go rightly.

It is a thing that must be done to guard our minds from whispers

that tell us God is not aware, as we pray to Him in our Vespers.

Those who whisper such lies are liars, in God's Kingdom they have no part,

they are avowed enemies to God and therefore to us, the treasure of God's own heart.

Be then wise and realize the things whispered into your mind

that gives you hopelessness and stresses of every kind,

do not come from God above, they are from your enemy;

therefore laugh and sing to God the praises of His Victory:

"I am more than a conqueror through Him that loves me!"

I may laugh at the waves of the billowing sea because my God is God of everything,

I can laugh and sing; "I am more than a conqueror through Him Who loves me!"
