I was thinking a rose.... and how they grow...and how that reminds me of how we express our love for one another each day....

Each day is like a new rosebud...small and all folded in on itself.... there is no clue of how the flower will look when it is in full bloom.... each day begins like that...it is a wonderful day, just because you are in it...but the adventures and discoveries that are to come are as yet hidden...but it makes the anticipation all the sweeter because the actual outcome is not known...

I await every hour with you with such eagerness and joy...as the day passes, the petals of the rose begin to open up and spread, changing the shape of the flower completely.....still small, but now you can see the hint of the final shape and color...the promise of it unfolding before our eyes.....each day is so full of promise, and opportunities to tell you how much I love you.....and little ways in which I can show you love.....like each petal as it opens, holds another word of love.....a touch of tenderness.....a gentle word.....filling my day with the sweetness of being cherished and loved.....gifts like these, one cannot buy....
and by the end of the day, the rose is in full bloom...the petals opened wide and the final shape, color and fragrance is there to be seen and enjoyed....by the end of each day, it is such a joy to look back, and know that this day I have been blessed beyond measure, given gifts more wondrous than any money could buy.....and realize that I am really rich in all the ways that matter most to my heart.
