I began with a quest
to find God in human form.
How would I know?
At my best,
choice began when I was born.

While I reside in human flesh,
my soul, in spirit, can't forget.

Yet, I look, I look deep,
while unearthing every stone.
Bleeding fingers make me weep
so, where's God in human form?

While not a stone, not out of place,
not made of wood, so, where's his face?

Son of man,
how do i know that you took your father's place?
If I ran there, right toward you,
would I find I'm in disgrace?

While I'm allowed to be myself,
then, can I live without your help?

Should I look back there before you
and I see you on a cross.
look around me , see the cruelty,
my heart wonders who is boss?
