Oh, feeling that I've KNOWN....e'en TOUCHED my God,
Why hast thou...yet so quickly...fled from me?
The void I felt BEFORE....is greater NOW!
(My pit....with no escape....sheer walls I see.)

Why did You let me catch a glimpse of You?
Then drop again....as fowl with broken wing.
While tossed about....as withered leaf in Fall,
NOW....too far gone....to ever see the Spring.

But better off is he who ONCE has KNOWN;
Who ONCE has SEEN....and in his heart BELIEVED;
Than one...who EARLY feels....that hope has flown,
And NOTHING of Thy Holy Light RECEIVED.

For he who's SEEN, who's FELT....and GONE THY WAY,
Will NEVER be content.....with Earth's abyss.
And with the sacred dawn of EACH new day
Will TRY to CAPTURE glimpses of YOUR bliss!
