The Holy Bible is the written communication of God to man. The recorded account of his revelation of himself to us, delivered through various of his chosen messengers, as he inspired them to do so. Rich with knowledge and wisdom, and prophecy of which, remarkably, so much has already been fulfilled.
"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." - 2Pe. 1:21
Because of its ancient origins and progressive history at the hands of men, there are many who question its modern integrity and/or authority. But from the times of old to the reliable scriptures of today (such as the KJV in English), God has always been fully capable of preserving the integrity of his words. As the psalmist David recorded, "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." (Psa. 12:6-7)
The Word is the same which was, from the beginning, with God. That which has been heard, and seen, and handled by hand - of the Word of Life. For that eternal Life was manifest, borne witness of, and declared, that we might have fellowship in Truth with one another, and with God. (1Jn. 1:1-3)
The difference between Scripture and all other writing is that God himself dictated the manuscripts personally. The bible is in a sense the accurate words of the Creator like no other literature is. Scripture cannot be broken. In the study of his book, even from a scientific basis, his facts have never been proven wrong, and for thousands of years, have always stood the test of time. Indeed, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. (2Ti. 3:16)
"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." - Pro. 30:5
Scripture as it exists today, is precisely the disclosure God wants mankind to have, in the exact format he has always intended the many peoples of the world to have it. Taken for what it reads, one can certainly find no loss of integrity, but rather only a remarkable unity of thought which can only indicate One Mind inspired the writing and compilation throughout.
Rejoice in the Holy Bible - True and Faithful in every word. Recorded by many writers, yet composed by just One Author. Written over distant spans of time and place, yet comprising just One Book. The Incredible and Wonderful Sign and Miracle of the Ages! Containing within and throughout, its own undeniable evidence of divine origin.
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God". (1Th. 2:13)
