ok, we wern't God's chosen people from the beginning. the Jews were. They had God's promises. We didn't. We are not co-heirs into God's kingdom and inheirantce. but...
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. -Romans 8:16-17
So, we were not heirs but we are because of Jesus. Jesus Himself testifies that we are children of God. And so we are.
