Your Honor, the Prosecution is ready to present their case.

Get on with it then!

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I am commanded by the Word of God to bring charges against a vile and despicable character. One who actually turns the stomach of the living God, our Creator. He is a shady character who has been practicing his craft for most of created time.

You see, in the beginning, there was only light and darkness; then this grotesque phenomenon, totally adverse to God’s will, came about. He brought with him, the “Gray Zone.” He influenced man to mix a little light with a little darkness and created gray, and man said, “This is good.” As time went on, the deception and the mixing grew and the Gray Zone got so big that you could only see the light and darkness out of the corners of your eyes and man said, “This is very good!”

This Gray Zone has led many a poor boy to his destruction. They have become so indifferent to God’s will that they are called lukewarm, by Jesus Himself.

Let me read what Jesus had to say about this anomaly from His Word.

Revelation 3:15-16 reads: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”

Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, you can see that Jesus Himself has prescribed the punishment for this horrendous crime. He went on to say in verse 17, ”You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

He who created us will not accept our pride, our indifference, our self- conceit, or our self-delusion. His Being requires justice and justice will be served.

I now point to the defendant, Mr. In-Between. He sits there all smug and defiant as if he doesn’t have a clue of the gravity of the charges brought against him. In his statement to this prosecutor he had the gall to say he would win this case against him and take over this entire planet. Only you can let that miscarriage of justice happen.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you to set the standard by affirming these three things:

1. Accentuate The Positive:

· “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NIV
· “For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40 NIV
· “I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.” 2Corenthians 6:2b NIV
· “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1Corinthians 10:13 NIV

2. Eliminate The Negative:

· “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 4-7 NIV
· “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4: 8-9 NIV

3. Don’t Mess Around With Mr. In-between:

· “Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 NIV
· “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119: 8-11 NIV

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. All the evidence you need to convict this scourge of the earth. I ask you to return a verdict of guilty in the worst degree!
