VICTORY FOR ME

• On the cross for my sin He did plea


• Victory for me


• On that happy day evil Satan did flee


• Victory for me


• For by free grace He did set me free


• Victory for me


• As by my faith I received His degree


• Victory for me


• Now I am living in perfect harmony


• Victory for me


• Looking forward to the glory jubilee


• Victory for me


• Crowns be laid at His feet hopefully


• Victory for me


• Rewards to receive for a job humbly


• Victory for me


• Meeting loved ones who were notably


• Victory for me


• With my Savior throughout all eternity


• Victory for me

 "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).

When I think of  having Victory in Christ, my mind always wanders back to the apostle Paul. Here's a man who, by his actions and life, can truly  sing  "Victory For Me."  He certainly knew adversity at its worst  (2 Cor 11:23-28), but also knew that circumstances need never threaten the joy and victory of the believer.(Romans 8:35-37)

How then may we experience victory, in this troubled world, you might ask (Ecclesiastes 7:8-9)

I once knew a preacher who would often quote his favorite saying, " I know about that sweet-by-and-by, but what about the nasty now-and-now".

Even though we may be living in turbulent times, the antidote for living a peaceful life is no different than in Bible times. (Hebrews 13:8)

So, how is it done ? How can we be happy in Jesus ? Just like the old hymn tells us. Just "Trust and Obey". (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Just don't let any trying  situation  rob you of your victory in Christ.! (Psalm 46:1)  Just don't let the Devil have the victory ! (1 Thess 2:18) You see, God knows our every need, even before the situation becomes a reality in our mind. (Psalm 139:1-24) And He has made a way of escape.(Jeremiah 29:11)

Remember, it is to God's will (Hebrews 10:36) for us to have  victory in Him. Any less commitment is not really complete victory in Christ Jesus. (1 John 5:4-5)

So. just take God at His word. Just "Trust and Obey". And leave the consequences  to God.(James 5:7-8)

1. When we walk with the Lord in      the light of His Word,
        What a glory He sheds on our way!
        While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
        And with all who will trust and obey.

        To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.




2. Not      a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
        But His smile quickly drives it away;
        Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
        Can abide while we trust and obey.


3. Not      a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
        But our toil He doth richly repay;
        Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
        But is blessed if we trust and obey.


4. But      we never can prove the delights of His love
        Until all on the altar we lay;
        For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
        Are for them who will trust and obey.


5. Then      in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
        Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
        What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
        Never fear, only trust and obey.
