Many people say that they have not heard God speak to them, or that they don't believe God speaks to people because He has not spoken to them. The same goes along with understanding what we see with God's understanding; many say they do not understand what they read in God's Word.

One thing we must remember about God is that He works spiritually through us. He sends the Holy Spirit to us after our salvation and repentance. With the Holy Spirit being a 'spirit', He works through 'our spirit'. We must not try to hear God with our human ears, or see understanding with our human eyes.

Human ways will not allow you to hear God's voice or see understanding of His Word. This can only be done by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us to hear and see spiritually, and this will come with spiritual growth through Him. Spiritual growth comes with obedience, prayer and reading His Word.

Pray to Him and ask for help and guidance to become spiritually aware through the Holy Spirit and if you trust in Him and follow only His Word. Remain still and quiet after prayer and let Him talk. So often, we pray and end it with amen and then we are done, and we have forgotten that God might have something to say after our prayer.

Hearing and seeing through the spirit will bring answers, understanding and a special closeness with God that is unimaginable! Don't miss out on hearing God speak within your soul and having His understanding of the Scripture come to you. Ask Jesus today to help you open your eyes and ears of your spirit now.

"For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear." -Matthew 13:15-16
