In a little village, there lived a sculptor by name Sege, who made wooden toys for children.

Sege was so naturally gifted in his handwork that his fame spread to all the neighboring villages. People from all over the region came to buy wooden toys from him or bring their broken toys for repairs. He was very good at fixing broken toys that after he’s done working on them, they looked exactly the way they were when they were first made.

Sege had a son for whom he made a very beautiful toy on his tenth birthday. The boy was so much in love with his toy that he always played with it along with his peers. On a certain day while playing with the wooden toy, it got broken and the boy cried and ran to his father with the broken toy and with tears in his eyes mumbled that his toy was broken. The father took time to listen to his complaints and then told him to leave the toy with him and come back later for it. The little boy cried and said to the father that all he wants from him is to mend the part of the toy that was broken. The father still tried to persuade him to leave the toy with him and come back after a while for it because he made the toy and knows how best to fix it when it is broken. The little boy became irritated and said to his father that he was to slow and that his father will not be able to have it fixed the way he wanted it. The boy grabbed his toy and ran out of his father’s workshop as every effort to entreat him by the father was abortive. The father was very sad.

Like this little boy, most of us take our problem to God and try to dictate to him how He should solve them. We often fail to realize that God made us and He understands how best to handle all our daily problems if left at His feet. He created you and He knows your end from the beginning. As the heavens are higher than the earth so is God’s ways higher than ours. Trust Him to fix whatever the situation is. He is the All-Knowing, infallible one; there is no history of failure in His diary. Trust Him.
