“How exciting it would’ve been to have been alive at the time of Jesus and actually laid eyes on him!” Ever heard that statement? Yet there is a time to have been alive that rivals that, and it may be now. Though you and I may not see Jesus’ return in our own lifetime there is very likely a generation already present on earth that will see His return. It is the other “bookend of this age that began with the incarnation of Jesus Christ. The prophets and apostles who have gone before call to us who live in THIS DAY, “Blessed are the the eyes that see the things you see and the ears that hear the things you hear!” With the excitement of such a time comes also the danger of such a time, and the responsibility to be constantly in His Presence and instant in prayer.  As I recall, the Chinese character for danger or crisis has with it also the symbol for opportunity!

   Even better than walking WITH Jesus as the early disciples did, is having Jesus walk IN us as the end time disciples do. (Though this is not a competition)  And even better than walking on mountaintops WITHOUT Jesus, is walking through valleys WITH Jesus within us.
