Let me become who I am to be

I want to grow up to hug my mommy and my daddy, when they are old
I want to grow up and play with my toys of old when no one is looking
I want to grow up to visit my old playground and remember the fun I had

Let me grow up

I want to grow up and be an air pilot to go on rescue missions
I want to grow up to be the friend you need when life is rough
I want to grow up and become that artist that depicts your innermost emotions

Let me grow up

I want to grow up and sing that song that will bring good memories to you
I want to grow up and read that book that will give me some understanding of life
I want to grow up and become a mommy or a daddy
