1 Samuel 15:22
"But Samuel replied, "What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams."

Offerings and sacrifices in old testament times was a normal thing for them. It was a custom to them. It was an action of man. Obedience however, is God's action for man. Will we act our way or God's way? Will we rather do something for someone or God?
The key point of what Samuel is saying is that God is more pleased when we do what he says. That is obedience. It is they key that unlocks many doors in the spiritual and natural world. When we obey, we see and experience something much greater. The taste is different. The feeling, and even the smell. There is never a day where God does not want us to obey. Obedience is what God wants us to learn and master. When we do, nothing will be able to master our faith in God
