THE RIGHT POSTURES AT HOME

We may have learnt some good lessons from books with respect to making a happy home. We may have received credible counsels or attended seminars and training and learned a couple of lessons from peoples' experience about Godly marriages and Homes. If not, it is not a good posture for those intending or already in the journey. However, this does not mark the end of learning.Marriage and home is a School with specified and specialise curriculum.

Even if we have read books, attended seminars and training or received counsels about marriages and home they are not enough! Even if we have resourceful and quality courtship programme, as important as they may be, we should not handle our homes when started and after, with the attitude and consciousness of an expert! It is better to operate from the consciousness and sincerity of a learner. Because there are not many firsthand counsels, training and experience that we may never come across in the print nor will some counselors or trainers have right words in their vocabularies to express in their books, counsels and training. By this, we’ll have the privilege of learning in our homes. It is a wonderful school, if motive are correct and pure from the start. More so, each home is unique.

Although, we should not entertain fear, such attitude harbours disaster. But with the confidence of a willing learner, the grace of obtaining lessons, gaining values and virtues from every experience, will help marriage with a safe trip. Even in the face of necessary challenges. The confidence and willingness of a learner by the spouse are good postures that will lubricate their relationship. This will help gain understanding and wisdom all along the journey. In spite and despite the gravity and simplicity of every circumstance, they are always learning.

There are always subtle points and delicate moments where cracks and breaks are purposely intended by flesh and devil. This are calculated and may be introduced into the relationship through our willing and unwilling mistakes, ignorance, negligence, carelessness and powerlessness. However, with the help of God to those willing to learn in the flexibility and dynamics of wisdom, they shall be overturned into opportunities to further reestablish, reinforce and represent the home for fresh inexhaustible grace, mercy and favour.
