Parts start coming apart
Tears held back silently
Fears invade the heart
The safe world we resided in
Starts a trembling in the soul
At once serenity fails us
Doubts of the future unfold
News one never wants to hear
When facing failing health
Mortality on earth is a given
No matter one’s great wealth
At the altar kneels the wounded
Crying out to Jesus Christ
Thy will be done my master
You hold our very life
Dear Lord, bring peace I pray
Your strength and loving arms
Cleave me unto your soul, My King
Keep me from further harm
Tonight as a life to you is given
Mind bending thoughts and pain
Sorrow leaves my spirit free again
My path by you is lain
