If someone must observe my life,
may they see a quiet, gentle spirit
and find peace in their own.

If someone must see my fear,
may they also see courage
and be encouraged.

If someone must notice my weaknesses,
may they also see inner strength
and find a reason to stand strong.

If someone must witness my grief or pain,
may they also see my laughter and joy
and celebrate life in its fullness.

If someone must see my wounded heart,
may they also see a forgiving heart
and forgive those who have wounded them.

If someone must note my mistakes and failures,
may they also see the lessons learned
and be thankful for God's mercy and grace
in their own lives.

But above all,
if someone must see my humanness,
may the also see Christ living in me
and allow Him to live in them.
