I have been impressed with the elasticity of time. How what seems a little bit of time can stretch out to such lengths, and what seems a long period of time up front can compress and fairly sail by! What determines this we know not other than to pose platitudes like “time flies when you’re having fun” and the like. Time seems the least objective and least consistent of all creations! Three people experiencing the same event and referring to the same clock can experience time altogether differently, as it creeps for one or sails for the other, or walks normally along in between for the third. Then again have you ever felt like you’d transcended time entirely in some contemplation, and ended with the sensation that you had more time left than when you began, as though you’d had a rare hand in creating or co-creating time yourself? Wow! How I marvel at the mystery of the elasticity of Time!
