A PAEAN OF PRAISE

And my heart sings! In the distance a bird is chirping out his happiness at being alive! The earth is still and quiet. Silence is pure as crystal. except for a bird quarrel in the distance. It’s Eden all over again without the noisy corruption of quarrelling human interruption: cars, traffic lights, etc. There is an old, old song, How Beautiful Heaven Must Be, which gorgeously presents a preview, lovely peace which sooths and calms our weary souls. Thank You, dear Father, for all this sweet pure evidence of Your Presence here, now and forevermore. How it quiets and sooths our souls through the turmoil of life on the planet as we wait to come Home. All of heaven and earth shout of Your majesty and love for Your creation! And we fall on our knees in thanksgiving!

Blue skies and rainbows (most of the time and in the right season) cheer us as we make our way through life, but we do not always nod and dream. Sometimes we re-live some beautiful portion of our long lives all over again—and it brings twice as much joy! So you younger folks, when you see an oldster sitting on the porch in a rocking chair and a sly grin on his/her face, it may be that a wonderful memory is being re-played all over again, and in living color!

So young folks store your memories full of wonderful, joyful occasions. You will enjoy them twice as much the second time around!! Trust me. I’m into the third or fourth time now!!
