We love to learn new things but we hate to be evaluated;
Assessment of what you've learnt is not only done in exam halls;
Life has an interesting way of testing us all the time.

We come across people in our lives who I’m tempted to think were born specifically to torment us. They stick to us like thorns; following us wherever we go and then make life a living hell for us. They constantly test our patience and self-control. We pray incessantly that they will get out of our lives but it seems the more we pray, the more constant they become in our lives. Then we burst out and cry out,

“Oh Lord, please take this thorn away from me!”

Sometimes we lose ourselves and lash out to these people in our lives; forgetting the consequences. But sometimes we win the battle-when we leave it to God to fight for us. And something amazing happens.

The people or sometimes circumstances who were giving us sleepless nights turn around with gifts of blessings in their hands. They smile at our confused faces and then congratulate us on winning.

That is life-our torturers are our promoters in disguise. They test us to the breaking point and when we make the right decision, they praise us for our success.
Sometimes, these people we are trying to get rid of hold the keys to our next level.

They look like thorns but crowns waiting to be discovered.
So when you pray, thank God for the “thorns” and ask for patience for your breakthrough so your crown can be handed to you.

Don’t despise your thorns; your crown could be hidden in them!
