Our Lord Jesus Christ on a couple of occasions experienced Open-Heavens during his earthly ministry. the first was at His baptism (Matthew 3:16) and the other occurred on the mount of transfiguration where His appearance changed with glittering clothes in the company of Moses and Elijah (Mark 9:3-7).
Now it is imperative to understand that the heavens did not open unto Jesus in both instances because He was and is the Son of God.
But the heavens opened in both cases because Jesus was in PRAYER.
St Luke in his account shows us that among those baptized by John the Baptist, only Jesus experienced open-heavens because He did what the others did not do in the course of baptism - He PRAYED (Luke 3:21).
Again, on the famous mount of transfiguration, Jesus PRAYED before 'the appearance of His countenance was altered and His clothing was white and glistening' (Luke 9: 29).
Is anybody looking for open-heavens? Keep praying!
