1cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God and ye are not your own?
I was a miserable, disgusting person. I ran from church to church and tried to act like I was a good Christian. But I wasn’t. I still went to nightclubs with my friends, drank too much, and used language that God wouldn’t approve. I was going nowhere and being a wrong witness to people about what it means to be a child of God.

Each minister that I talked to told me that I was saved. I had accepted Christ as my savior, I believed that Jesus died and rose again. I was saved and always would be if I kept the commandments. Well, I did that, I thought…

Then one day I picked up my Bible; it opened to 1Cor 6. When I saw verse 19, I read it three times. I went to my knees in prayer. My God, I’m sorry I never knew that I was a temple for You. Please forgive me. I repented of every drink, and curse word I could remember. I got off my knees and called my friends one at a time. “Do you know this verse?” I asked each of them. I am going to show them how a child of God acts. I will teach and bring them in, one soul at a time.


This writer is retired from worldly work, happily serving God every day. All four of my grandchildren live away so have lots of time. I sing and write for the Lord.
