Many at times we face various challenges as Christians in the way of faith and we tent to focus on challenge rather than God.We may feel that we have reached the edge with no light at the end of the tunnel, but friends its not yet over as challenges act as stepping stones to victory, we are called to hope (Hebrews 12:1) and to trust even in that point of despair.
Its the not size of the challenge or setback but rather the amount of faith and confidence in God.
Philip.

Hello Philip, This article is short but it contains some very powerful concepts, and I commend you for being able to state them so succinctly; many writers would struggle to put so much into a few statements as you have done. Permit me to elaborate. You wrote, "we tend to focus on challenge rather than God", yes this is true and it nearly all leads to despair. Despair comes because when we are in the midst of darkness, when our circumstances seems hopeless that is because we fall into the devil's trap and believe that God has met his match and can't deliver us, no, not this time. This is when we need to remind ourselves that nothing, absolutely nothing is too hard for God to do. It was impossible for Daniel to be saved; but God saved him (Daniel 6:22), it was impossible for the three Hebrew boys to escape burning; but God rescued them (Daniel 3:26), even the Israelites thought they were doomed until God parted the Red Sea and allowed them to escape (Exodus 14:21) God does the impossible every day. You wrote, "challenges act as stepping stones to victory" and many believers have found this out. Challenges of all types, if dealt with in the right spirit, can build solid, Christian character. Even God did not promulgate Abraham's stoicism until Abraham faced the challenge of sacrificing Isaac, and because he dealt with the situation with steadiness, great faith and an abiding certainty that God would do the right thing, then and only then did he become Abraham the great Patriot of Faith. You further wrote, " It's the not size of the challenge or setback but rather the amount of faith and confidence in God." And we need to remember what is important here. We need to remember that, "... faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17) for it is by studying and meditating on God's word, and believing everything God says, that we acquire faith and enable it to grow so that we can be triumphant, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." (Romans 8:37) Keep writing brother and God will help you to continue to make your contribution. Blessings and peace.
