This I did without a second glance.
We enjoyed ourselves, Angels above me,
step by step, learned to dance.

Held your hand when you said you were mourning.
Wiped your tears as I know you wiped mine.
Vulnerability came without warning,
inch by inch, mile by mile.

I still visit you my love, adoring
every word you whisper, like a prayer.
I still tend the roses in your garden,
morning eve, night and day.
