Greater Is He That Is In You

I John 4:4

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

This is the position of every genuine child of God. Just like a new prince in the palace is a potential king, and by that more powerful than all the officials in the palace and in the realm of the kingdom of his father, the same way we as children of God had been born to be greater than all other beings on the surface of the earth. We are the children of the King of Kings, and the Lord of lords.

What is the implication of this passage, it means that we should not look down upon ourselves, nor consider ourselves less than what and where the Lord had position us. If what God words say about us is that He that is in us is greater than the one in the world, then that is the truth.

You may not actually see nor feel this in any area of your life, but that is the truth.

It is not your physical size that matters, but the one inside of you. If the one inside of you is big, then you are big; if he is small then you are small.

We need to do all we can to make the one inside of us to be bigger to the point that He will be able to manifest in all situations that we are facing in life.

You know, if you fill an empty cup with water continuously, you will get to a point where the water will completely fill the cup, and if you continue to pour, the water will spill out of the cup, hence John the Baptist prayed in John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”

That is the prayer of a man that is genuinely consecrated unto God. For such no situation can overcome them, because such situation must first overcome Christ, the Greater one in the inside.
