God and I
On the Olympic Peninsula

Contemplative moments of time
Pass without actualization of events.

Emerald hills roll lazily along
Skirted by Hood, an azure rippling snake.
Churning, yearning for freedom
From bays and coves,
To the open waters of the distant Pacific

Waves lap lazily on cobbles,
Along shores of jagged and craggy oysters.
Eagles and osprey soar in high places,
Guarding their towering nests,
Far above the mysterious desperations of mankind

Sun Shines and
Warmth radiates, recharges, revitalizes
Until energy bursts forth bringing with it
Hope, momentum, life.

Prayerful moments of time pass.
Stillness, solitude, quietude
Permeate soul and spirit
to the inner core of existence,
Of Life.
