The cross represents agony and victory
It symbolizes God loves for me
How can I ignore this great demonstration of God’s affection?
Inspite of who I am
Despite what I have done
God gave his only begotten son to die for me
Calvary, Oh what a place
How can I ignore this great manifestation of God’s grace?
Jesus was wounded, bruised and chastised for me
He took the judgment that I deserved
How can I ignore this display of such rich mercy?
In view of all God has done for me
I came to the fountain of his blood
The blood of his sinless son Jesus
I confessed my sins
I asked Jesus to come into my heart
I confess Jesus is Lord
I believe this with all my heart

Oh, the power of the blood of Jesus
Through this blood I overcome
Every strategy of the enemy
Through this blood I have confidence before the throne of Almighty God
This blood was the price paid to ransom me

In times when I fail to do what I should
I say Master sprinkle your blood again upon me
When my actions deny you
Sprinkle your blood again upon me
For what is sin?
Sin is doing my own will and not God’s will
Holy Spirit, help me to be like Jesus
To take up my cross daily and follow as you lead and direct me
To say not my will but your will Father
Let this mind be in me as it was in Christ Jesus
A mind that is resolute to do the will and fulfill the purpose of Him who sent me
