ANALOGY OF LOVE BEFORE AND AFTER SIN

The creation of man did not occur accidentally and that is why Genesis 1 is not the beginning of the world. It was just the beginning of the Bible. Before Genesis 1, God existed and He had plans and purposes in His mind about the creation of man. He created man because He wanted many sons like the One Son, He had. He wanted to shower His love upon His children. God is love and He made man as creatures of love. Love is the essence. If we want to describe a man and where all of his problems comes from is through one word “love.” Just as God is love, man is a love creature. Since the fall of man through sin, real love vanished in this world. The man’s love has been corrupted with what we call as selfishness. Selfishness dominates more than love now.

Before the fall of man, man was really a love creature. In the Garden of Eden, there was no tension between man and woman. There was perfect cooperation and harmony because love reigned there. Both man and woman lived by love like how fish lived in water. In fact, it is because of the unselfish love, Adam ate the forbidden fruit even to the point knowing that Eve had transgressed and fallen into sin.

After Adam and Eve sinned, when God came to Adam asking where are you? Adam said I sinned because of the woman whom you gave me. He did not blame himself, but put blame on Eve. This shows the selfish love after the fall, but before he was ready to die for Eve. Selfishness started to reign. This shows the analogy of love before and after the fall. As a result of sin, relationship problems exist in this world. From the day of fall, selfishness started to reign in man’s life.
