Distract me not
with equinox.
The first Sunday
after the first full moon?
After the vernal equinox?
Gregorian or Julian calendar?
To honor Jesus,
His brutal death on the cross,
His breathtaking Resurrection.
Would He want His most
staggering sacrifice to be
joyously celebrated with
giggling bunnies carrying baskets
with fancifully decorated eggs
hippity hopping around
His cross?
Jesus was the true sacrifice:
the perfect Pascha Lamb.
Teach our children,
lovingly praising,
worshipping our Messiah
with our grace-filled holy lives.

Even as a kid, I never got the whole bunny thing. You are so amazing with your vocabulary. He was / is the sacrificial lamb slain for us once for all time. Praise His holy name!
