Shirley Temple starred in the 1939 movie, “The Little Princess.” In the dramatic role, she faced formidable challenges in a time of war and separation from her military father. Like him, in serving his homeland, she honored him in behaving like a brave little soldier.
“that utterance may be given me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak (Ephesians 6:19b-20 RSV).” I pray for boldness, that I may be a brave little soldier.
