In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9 New International Version

In the new year in the west it is a tradition to make new years resolutions to improve themselves. It could be their health like exercising more or their money like instead of uselessly spending their money they will invest it wisely or in relationships like trying to be a better husband, wife, parent or child.

Most of them will fail with in a week.

The best way to succeed is to take it to God in prayer. He will lead you to the recourses that you need to succeed and then to take action.

So say instead of seeking Gods guidance you just go out and sign up at an aerobics class. After a few sessions you discover you hate it.

Where as, if you waited for Gods guidance you may be guided to learn to take up swimming. Not only do you discover you like swimming but while in your swim class you meet someone you can witness to and bring them to Christ.

Now you have killed two birds with one stone so to speak. You were guided to an exercise you enjoy while meeting someone God intended you to meet to bring into His family.

“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.’” (Isaiah 48:17, English Standard Version)
Prayer: Please Jesus Rabbi (Jesus our Teacher) teach me to live a successful Christian life that is pleasing to You.I ask this in Your gracious name.Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
