One day I felt God calling me to this island in the city where I live. Being Chinese New Year it was thought there would be many decorations there that could be photographed. It was a huge disappointment to find no decorations there so then it was off to this famous walking street, there are no vehicles allowed to drive on the road. Again, on the supposition, that it being the New Year there would be many decorations there. Again there was nothing.
Not wanting to waste the time it took there I just started walking along the Hutongs (which are like alleys that resemble a maze) to explore. One Hutong took me to a beautiful park I had never been to before. There were many decorations and festive statutes there.
As well there were many families there. I would wish the girls “Happy New Year beautiful princess.” in their language. They would be overjoyed to hear a foreigner say that to them. It made their parents very happy too. This made me very happy and made my day.
You see, when we do nice things for others the treasure is shared with many as well as you. I believe it makes God pretty happy too.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Chanan (God is gracious) for giving me a gracious heart that enjoys sharing happiness with others. I know that that is one of Your most cherished treasures in Heaven. I give thanks in the name of He who shared many blessing with others when He walked amongst us Jesus Christ. Amen
