Memories drown in lakes of tears
Haunting the soul with terrorist fears
Hanging on by bitten fingertips
Gnashing my teeth, biting my lips

Anger, Resentment, sadness and pain
Sun is shining; Dear God let it rain!
Room is dark, drapes are drawn close
A ringing phone from those who impose

Oh God, why have you forsaken me?
Blinded by rage so I cannot see
Goodness is gone, did it ever exist?
Thoughts come to mind I cannot resist

Where did the road start to turn this wrong?
Youthful years were a continuous song
Ashamed to be lost, this is my confession
Life has succumbed to major depression
