Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2 New International Version.

Now where do you think you are going to meet an angel? Do you think they are going to walk up to you and ask you to go have a hamburger with them? They are not only here to help you but to be helped by you.

Maybe it could be somebody that is lost and asks for directions; maybe it could be a lonely elderly man on the bus. Who knows where or when you will meet an angel.

One time a man asked for money because he lost his passport and bank card. The embassy was closed and he couldn’t get any help. He said he stayed in an all night restaurant for two nights. Of course he could not speak the language and it was dangerous to tell anybody you were in trouble anyway. I contacted the person he came to meet in another city and then paid his train fare and enough money for a meal. This meant I was going to be eating instant soup for my three day trip because I gave him my meal money. As he accepted the money he looked into my eyes and said:” You are blessed in Heaven for your kindness.” It wasn’t like a thank you but from someone with direct knowledge. It was rather spooky.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Chanan (God is gracious) teach me to have as gracious a heart with all I meet today as You have been so kindly gracious to me. I ask in the name of He who showed grace when He walked here Jesus Christ. Amen.
