Sometimes we want something very bad. We work hard to succeed only to repeatedly fail. We think it is the devil trying to stop us so we try even harder.

In reality it may be God preventing us from doing something that seems good to us, but really it is bad. We can’t see the hand of God at the time so we blame the devil.

One time I wanted to go to the lake for a swim on a hot summer day. There was a strong feeling to take the longer trail. I didn’t want to do it but did. Shortly after arriving at the lake, word was put out no to go down that trail because there was a mother grizzly bear with her two cubs on it. If I had of gone down that trail I could have been attacked.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rohi (God our Sheppard) for Your wonderful wisdom in my life. Please give me the understanding to know when what does not seem logical and might be from the devil is really from You. I give thanks and ask for this divine wisdom through the greatest Sheppard of all Jesus Christ. Amen
