Short term pain eternal gain.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” Matthew 4:8-10 New International Version

If Jesus had of worshipped the devil he would have been condemned to hell with him.

Instead Jesus was an obedient son and worshipped and obeyed God.

Sometimes the temptation to do what we know is wrong can be very strong. Maybe it is to be with the in crowd when you are a wallflower; sometimes it may be because of fear. If you don’t allow the bully to copy your school paper they will threaten to beat you up. Stand your ground.

When I first entered high school some kids tried to get me to use drugs. I refused. They met me in the back of the school and threatened to beat me up if I didn’t take the drug. I informed them that they can beat me up as much as they want. I am still not taking those drugs. They left me alone.

Sure it was the in thing to do at the time but I see them now and they are broken down shells of human beings.

I am walking in great companionship with Jesus and have never experienced so much joy.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Adonai (The sovereign Lord) for reigning sovereign in my heart and in my life. I give thanks for this wonderful blessing in the name of our greatest blessing Jesus Christ. Amen.
