God is light and in Him never any darkness,
Having His fellowship, He will truly bless;
But if walking with Him in the dark, we lie,
For there will be others asking you why;
For we walk in the light since He is light,
Having fellowship with others in His sight;
As the blood of Christ cleanses of our sin,
For being able to purify your heart within;
If we say we have no sin then we deceive,
But if confessed, forgiveness we receive;
He is faithful and just, willing to forgive,
Being free rather than as a sinful captive.
Some people are just trying to impress,
Saying to be free of sin, never to confess;
Everyone sins falling short of His glory,
So please tell me just what is your story;
For Jesus Christ is the only one perfected,
Since the all of us are flawed and rejected;
If we say having no sin we make Him a liar,
His Word is not in us for being a purifier.
